Quotes
"Just gives me the...willies even being here. Ha-ha-ha, 'Gives me the willies.' That's funny."
Willie: "I'm been taking the kicks all my life, through all these years. Well this time now, I'm not taking anymore kicks. I do the kicking!"
Willie: "You're no different from any girl, you're just richer, but no different."
Willie: "So don't pretend that you're better than me, 'cause you're not."
Jason McGuire: (on his friendship with Willie) "Well now, there are some people you think you can never get close to. With whom you have absolutely nothing in common. And then suddenly, fate throws you together. Well, we been around abit, been on a few voyages together. He's a good lad you know, hard worker. If he likes you, he'll do anything in the world for you."
Willie: "I only wanted it because it was so pretty."
Willie: "Oh, they're so pretty, jewels are. Sometimes you can tell how pretty they are just by touching them. You don't even have to see them. You know just by touching them..how beautiful they are."
Jason McGuire: "I'm like a father to Willie. That's why I'm willing to put up with a great deal from him. He seems to need me. Seems to need...a sense of..family."
Roger: "Alright Kitten, let me get out my score pad and we'll go over the guests who are still ensconsed here."
Carolyn: "Well, Jason is still here."
Roger: "Check."
Carolyn: "But Willie Loomis has gone."
Roger: "Oh bravo! You can't keep the jet set down can you? Tell me, did he accept an invitation from the Prince and Princess of Monaco or could he simply not stand another one of Mrs. Johnson's famous boiled dinners?"
Barnabas: "Members of my family tend to look alike."
Barnabas: "You always get upset whenever anyone talks to me, don't you?"
Willie: "Can't help it."
Barnabas: "You're learn, you're learn."
Willie: "I think I heard him go."
Barnabas: "Quiet, you idiot!"
Elizabeth: "Well I can't, for the life of me, think of why he would want to restore Josette's room."
Barnabas: "Willie! Please light the candles, Miss Josette is ready to dine."
Willie: "Barnabas?"
Barnabas: "What is it?"
Willie: "Why do you call her by that name?"
Barnabas: "Because that is her name..now."
Willie: "Barnabas, you know it isn't. You know her name is Maggie Ev-"
Barnabas: "Willie, that is enough. This is Josette Collins. It is her portait that is hanging upstairs. From now on, you must call her Miss Josette & Miss Josette only. You understand that?"
Willie: "Yes."
Barnabas: "Then don't ask me anymore of your weary questions. Miss Josette is waiting to be served."
Willie: "Yes."
Barnabas: "Josette, look at me, my dear. Look at me. Look into my eyes. All I want is to make you happy, you know that don't you?"
"Yes."
Barnabas: "Then you must never be frightened of me. Ever."
Maggie: "Frightened?"
Barnabas: "You were frightened of me once. So frightened that you ended your life on Widow's Hill."
Maggie: "Widow's Hill?"
Barnabas: "You didn't understand. I didn't want to harm you. Do you understand that now? Tell me. Tell me you understand. I've been waiting to hear you say that for so long."
Maggie: (flatly) "I understand."
Barnabas: "Tell me that you know that we're going to be happy together. Tell me you know how happy we're going to be."
Maggie: "Yes..yes."
Barnabas: "You don't know what that means to me to hear you say those words. You can't know."
(goes to kiss her hands)(she pulls away)
Barnabas: "Well don't be frightened of me. You said you aren't frightened of me, you aren't are you?"
Maggie: "No."
Barnabas: "You want to be my bride. You want it as much as I do."
Maggie: "Yes."
Barnabas: "I remember the first time I saw you. You couldn't speak a word of English, a beautiful dark girl of 18. My job was to teach you English. Those hours we spend together were the happiest of my life. And we will relive them again & again as time goes by. Time will mean nothing."
Maggie: "Nothing."
Jason McGuire: "People are still wondering what happened to him, you know. Where did he go? Oh-where, oh-where has Paul Stoddard had gone, oh-where, oh-where can he be?"
Doctor Woodard: "It may be some comfort to you to know that a great many people share your dislike for giving away your blood."
Barnabas: "Now in a way, isn't that understandable? Afterall, blood is the lifeforce. It reaches into the deepest recesses of both the heart & the brain. It is the familiar of our complete being. To surrender even one drop of it is to suggest a parcel surrender of one's utmost self."
Barnabas: "Oh doctor, please be careful."
Doctor Woodard: "Oh, what do you mean?"
Barnabas: "Well from what I've heard, a very dangerous man is interested in what you're trying to do."
Doctor Woodard: "So it would seem."
Barnabas: "I was told that the man, who broke into your office, is of tremendous strenght."
Doctor Woodard: "If 'man' is the proper term, one should use, to describe him."
Barnabas: "Oh, and what term would you suggest?"
Doctor Woodard: "I don't know. Beast, maybe. Although a beast would never do the things that are being done. You know, it's the particular malignance of the human spirit that's required to provide the potental for such corruption."
Barnabas: "Yes, I know what you mean. Whoever he is, he most certainly be, at one & the same time, more than a man & less than a man."
Doctor Woodard: "You seem almost sorry for him."
Barnabas: "Sorry? No, I'm not sorry. The truth is I loathe him. I loathe him very, very deeply."
Willie: "Barnabas, please! Let me go away. Far away, please!"
Barnabas: "But I need you here. You know that."
Willie: "They're gonna find me!"
Barnabas: "Find you? Are you lost?"
Willie: "I don't understand. If you're so worried I'll betray you, why'd you let them take my blood? Why?"
Barnabas: "Oh Willie, you have so little faith in me, don't you?"
Willie: "Faith?"
Barnabas: "Did you really think I would betray you?"
Willie: "what?"
Barnabas: "Did you think that I'd be more unloyal to you than you are to me?"
Willie: "I AM loyal."
Barnabas: "And you think that I am not."
Willie: I only know that you let them take my blood."
Barnabas: "Yes, I let them take the blood." (takes out the slide & looks at it)
Willie: "What's that?"
Barnabas: "A delicate flower painted on glass."
Willie: "You switched the slides! You changed them!"
Barnabas: "You forgot that I paid a visit, a few days ago, to a doctor's office. Any number of indubious blood slides were made available to me at that time."
Willie: "And the doctor, he won't find anything?"
Barnabas: "Heh, let's say he won't find 'anything' very important."
Willie: "And they won't come after me!"
Barnabas: "Did you think I would let them come after you?"
Willie: "Oh-no. No, I knew you wouldn't let anything happen to me!"
Barnabas: "You knew nothing of the kind."
Willie: "Yes-yes I did, I knew you'd protect me."
Barnabas: "No you didn't. You didn't know it then & you don't know it now."
Willie: "What?"
Barnabas: "I protected you then. I may again and then again, I may not."
Willie: "Uhh..You will. I know you will!"
Barnabas: "We shall see. We shall see.."
Barnabas: "Maggie?"
Maggie: "What did you say?"
Barnabas: "I was calling Maggie."
Maggie: "That sounds like a servant's name. But I don't remember one named Maggie."
Barnabas: "Forgive me. I forgot. She was here for awhile but now she is gone..forever."
Maggie: "Who was she?"
Barnabas: "No one of any importance. Her name will never be mentioned again."
Barnabas: "As long as I'm alive, neither of you will ever be completely free of me."
Willie: "Can't you hear it?"
Maggie: "Don't listen! Take the necklace, go upstairs!"
Willie: "Listen it it, it's gettin' louder!"
Maggie: (picking up a sharp tool) "You won't hear it much longer"
Willie: "AHHHHH, I can't let you do it!"
Maggie: "Willie, please! No!"
Willie: (listening to the heartbeat) "Oh..oh...oh."
Maggie: "Willie, we'll be free!""
Willie: "Oh, I have to protect him, I can't help it!"
Maggie: "We won't be afraid!"
Willie: "I HAVE TO PROTECT HIM, I HAVE TO!"
Maggie: "GO AWAY, NO, NOOOOOOOOO!!"
(Willie wrestles the weapon from her hands)"
Willie: (near sobs) "I can't help it..I can't help it!"
Willie: "Give in."
Maggie: "Give in?"
Willie: "It'd be easier."
Barnabas: "What are you doing with this tool? Be careful, it's very sharp. I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself, or anyone else. I wouldn't want you to hurt anyone. But perhaps you were trying to hurt one. Perhaps you were trying to hurt me."
Maggie: "No!"
Barnabas: "Perhaps you were trying to destroy me!"
Vicky: "Oh, isn't that pretty. What is it?"
Barnabas: "Why, it's a music box. It's been in the family for generations."
Vicky: "Beautiful! Does it still play?"
Barnabas: "Yes, would you like to hear it?"
Vicky: "Oh, yes, please."
(music plays)
Vicky: "It's lovely. I reminds me.."
Barnabas: "Of what?"
Vicky: "..of the past. Of a long, long time ago."
Barnabas: "Yes, it does."
Vicky: "Ha, I'm being much too much of a romantic."
Barnabas: "Oh, not at all. Not many young girls feel very happy about the past. And the past is very beautiful VERY beautiful."
Vicky: "Yes, I'm sure it was."
Barnabas: "Well, I watched your face just now. While you listening to the music. You seemed very transfixed."
Vicky: "I did?"
Willie: "A lot of things you deserve you never get, and some things you get that you don't deserve."
Willie: "I've done rotten things in my life, but nothing like this. I hate myself for it."
Barnabas: "And me? Do you also hate me?"
Willie: "You know how I feel."
Barnabas: "Yes I do. Take care Willie, I can tolerate only so much opposition."
Barnabas: "The thing I like about you Willie, is that I can always tell what you are thinking. You're ideal for what I have in mind."
Willie: "A long time ago, before we came here, we were friends..Good friends."
Willie: "Never heard you talk this way before. You sound almost.."
Barnabas: "Almost human?"
Willie: "I wasn't gonna say that."
Willie: "Strange, thinking about you..caring about someone."
Willie: "They'll laugh at you when you ask & then you'll get angry!"
Willie: "Who is she, Barnabas, this little girl?"
Willie: "I just hope you feel as safe as you think you are."
Willie: "Things can't go on like this, Barnabas, they can't."
Willie: "I'll live with death, people dying & worse. I can't let it go on. I gotta do something!"
Willie: "All of them. One by one. All of them will die. And there's nothing I can do. Nothing at all."
Willie: "Dark? I'm afraid of the night. Don't let it be dark. Please don't let it be dark."
Willie: "Well, I'd like..I'd like to work for Barnabas again. See him & me, we were good friends & he did alot for me."
Cassandra: "Have you known him long, worked for him long?"
Willie: "Yeah..Uhh, on & off for a spell."
Cassandra: "You must, you must know him very well then."
Willie: "Heh-heh, hmmm.."
Willie: "You know..I'm a pretty nice fellow once you get to know me..honest."
Willie: "I can't, I'm afraid!..I wanna look for someplace to hide!"
Willie: "So you like stuff that shines in the light, huh? Y-You like shiny objects?
Makes you happy to see them & to hold em, huh?
Huh..So do I. And things that glitter are pretty, aren't they?"
Willie: "Yeah, that's my favorite too. I saw Josette wear them once. I don't mean Josette, but there was a lady, a girl who looked just like her, n-named Maggie, used to live in this house for awhile.
I saw her in these. She came walkin' down the stairs, into the drawing room & all the candles were lid.
Ohhh, & she made me feel the way I thought I'd never feel. And I wanted to help her..And I did sorta. But she's scared of me.
And I..I can't even begin to feel the way I wanted to, because I'm never near her."
Willie: "People gotta have friends that, you know, they can count on, do things with.
I've got no friends out here."
Willie: "I mean you gotta have friends that, you know, can take your mind out things, gotta have, you know, somewhere to go with, something to do. You see, it gets awful lonely out here. See Maggie, I'm-I'm awful lonely & I need someone to talk to me & smile at me & ...I'd like it to be you."
Willie: "I'll teach you how to box, huh, wanna know how? We'll show Daddy-Barnabas how smart you are, huh?"
Willie: "Why do you always take everyone else's side & never mine?!"
Willie: "Well, what about what I've gone through?!"
Willie: "Don't be scared Maggie, this house is full of old noises..
Used to keep me awake alot in the nights. But not anymore, I'm used to them now."
Barnabas: "..And there's no reason for you to walk around with that gun in your hand!"
Willie: "I don't like being in this house by myself."
Willie: " 'Remember that'. Remember that..REMEMBER THAT, REMEMBER THAT, like I didn't remember everything Barnabas ever told me.."
Willie: "Just gives me the...willies even being here.
Ha-ha-ha, 'Gives me the willies.' that's funny.
Yeah, my whole life's pretty funny. Even at Windcliff, I didn't have to do jobs like this."
Willie: "Barnabas, he just drives off with her & says 'Oh Willie, you brick up the wall.' "
Willie: "He isn't the only one she's interested in you know, she likes me too!"
Barnabas: "Where did you ever get that insane idea?"
Willie: "Don't you call it insane, Barnabas. She likes me. She's even been to the house to see me, more than once, so how do you like that?"
Barnabas: "What are you talking about?"
Willie: "Eh, You didn't know Maggie & I were so friendly did ya?"
Barnabas: "Willie, we'll deal with your mental aberrations later."
Willie: "Ohhhh..now we're gonna hear the dogs howling again!"
Willie: "Everyday he's gonna be in that coffin. But I'll keep them away, I'll protect him like I did before.
Yes Sir, he's gonna need me more now."
Willie: "What are we gonna do? I can't make no decisions, you know that."
Willie: "Hey, we've-we've lived through this before, you & me."
Willie: "Julia, he's-he's-he's gonna turn into a vampire any minute now. His coffin is still in the basement. Or there's one in the secret room of the mausoleum, we can take him there.
Heh, that's where I first found Barnabas. Coffin, all wrapped in chains. I never should have taken him out of there, I know that now."
Willie: "He was so different, ever since I came back this time."
Willie: "I never thought about being without Barnabas.."
Julia: "Willie, Willie please."
Willie: "I mean, even when I was at Windcliff, I kept thinking that maybe someday he'd come & get me."
Julia: "And, and he did."
Willie: "And then I worked for him again. Oh, it was pretty bad sometimes but..You know, it was all I had to look forward to. Now I got...nothing. Nothing."
Willie: "I could work myself up into a real good job and then certain people could have respect for me!"
Maggie: "Willie, you haven't done something you shouldn't, have you?"
Willie: "No I swear, I mean, that's-that's all over with now. I mean, You should know that."
Willie: "It's just..I have to make something of myself. Do you think I can?"
Willie: "Only, I'm not-I'm not so sure about making something of myself, I mean it's pretty late to begin with. I mean alot of guys my age, they're alot farther along than I am."
Willie: "Friends, they mean alot to me."
Willie: "If you tell, she won't give me my chance, do you understand?! Because, because I told!
And what's gonna happen to me if I don't get my chance, what's gonna happen to Willie Loomis?!"
Willie: "He told me not to worry about such things. I don't wanna understand about those things, they scare me."
Willie: "I'm not gonna rob graves for anybody, no sir. Not for anything or anybody."
Willie: "See Barnabas, you don't listen to people.
You don't understand, you don't know how it makes a fellow feel when no one listens to him, do ya?
That's because people listen to you. You say 'No.', people know you're not gonna do something.
But me? 'Oh Willie, he'll come around alright.' But no more! Ya hear me? No more Barnabas!"
Barnabas: "Why are you laughing at?"
Willie: "Oh Barnabas, you're talking about all the people except the one that conserns you the most.
I mean, the experiment, Vicky, Adam, who you don't mention much is Julia! And she's the one you need the most."
Barnabas: "Obviously. I can't..put together the parts of a body into a human with life."
Willie: "Barnabas, you just don't get what I'm sayin'."
Barnabas: "Are you being profound?"
Willie: "No, but you're acting like a man who's secrectary is missing. And I know that's how you don't feel.
I mean, Barnabas, you're more than just worried about Julia."
Barnabas: "For a specific reason."
Willie: "Well that's all I'm sayin'!"
Willie: "Sometimes I think everybody's going crazy up there. Barnabas, Dr Hoffman.."
Willie: "I'm not crazy, I know what I'm doing!..And someday you're gonna know that I'm right."
Maggie: "Are you under his power now?"
Willie: "No..not exactly."
Willie: "I don't know why everything I do turns out so bad!"
Barnabas: "Well, you don't think, for one reason."
Willie: "Barnabas, we're your friends! Try to remember that."
Barnabas: "I said you were my friend, and how I wish that were the truth. But I am past the point when friends are possible. I'm sorry."
Willie: " 'You can't tell me about Barnabas, Willie. Not one thing.'
And you remember the night you want to the mausoleum, hunting the jewels, huh?
You remember that first night? Yeah, and his hand.. his hand came out of the coffin & grabbed you. Well you didn't believe that was happening. But it did, Willie. And maybe you can't go back in time, but Barnabas..Barnabas isn't like anyone else."
Willie: "What's a'matter with the lights?"
Barnabas: "We don't need them.
Willie: (matter of factly) "Yes, we do, Barnabas."
Willie: "Barnabas, something's watchin' me. Believe me, I can tell!"
Carl Collins: "Sorry if you didn't like my fooling around. You know, things get pretty dead around this place. I mean, you have to do something to pass the time, right?"
Edward Collins: "You're so easily amused, Carl. You must be a frightfully happy person."
Carl Collins: "Well yes, I guess I am most of the time."
Edward Collins: "Well perhaps we can arrange for you to be happy all of the time..In a sanitarim,
where you can regale your fellow inmates with one prank after another!"
Carl Collins: "Edward? ..I know something you don't know."
Sandor: "Heh-heh-heh, there must be Gyspy blood somewhere in your family! Heh-heh-heh!!"
Carl Collins: "Ha-ha-ha-ha..What are you talking about? Ha-ha-ha.."
Sandor: "NO ONE IN THE FAMILY TRUST ANYONE ELSE!"
(both continue to laugh)
Carl Collins: "I just..can't believe it."
Quentin Collins: "Well-well-well, our brothers back with us. Speak up Carl, say something to chear us all up."
Carl Collins: "I never thought Grandmother hate me that much."
Judith Collins: "Turn off that music, it's driving me mad."
Quentin Collins: "Perhaps that's why I play it."
Carl Collins: "Well, he's all finished with his mischief now, and I can't say I'm not sorry."
Judith Collins: "Carl, please! He was our brother, you might as least try-"
Carl Collins: "What? And miss the chance to say all the things I'm was afraid to say when he was alive? Oh never.
Quentin Collins, you were a bounder and a bully, a rake and a lenger and a liar..And I-AHHH!!!"
Judith Collins: "What's the matter, Carl?"
Carl Collins: "Judith, he moved! I swear! Lying in his coffin, Quentin moved!"
Carl Collins: "Always did have the looks in the family. Yes, I suppose that's why he was Grandmother's favorite when we were children."
Judith Collins: "And Grandfather's too. Grandfather used to sit him on his lap & say
'This boy is much too good looking to die from old age.' "
Carl Collins: "Oh..'Killed by a woman.' That's what he used to say, 'No doubt about it, Quentin will be killed by a woman.' And Grandmother used to say: 'Oh Grandfather, stop talking such nonsense!' "
Judith Collins: "Stop talking nonsense!"
Carl Collins: "Well, I was only saying what Grandmother said!"
Pansy Faye: "I've got to have my music to get in the mood."
Judith Collins: "Yes, I'm sure you do."
Pansy Faye: "If you turned down the lights, You'd make feel alot better & I'd look alot better! Ha-HA-HA-HA!!! That's a joke!"
Carl Collins: "WHERE IS MY PANSY, WHERE IS SHE?!"
Carl Collins: "Oh, what do any of you care about my Pansy? Whether she's imprisoned or dying of thirst or hunger.
Or even if she's dead! Oh no, she can't be dead, she can't be!"
Carl Collins: "My Pansy, she's a wonderful girl. She's beautiful & refined, cultured. She's English!"
Carl Collins: "Quentin, where is Judith & Edward?"
Quentin Collins: "Judith is dreaming about her money. And so is Edward."
Gregory Trask: "Your sister has told me, in confidential alcourse, that you are unusually high-strung."
Carl Collins: "WELL, I AM NOT! Honest!"
Edward Collins: "Have you been having second thoughts about this ridiculous marriage of yours?"
Judith Collins-Trask: "No, it could not be that. My marriage was not a mistake."
Edward Collins: "Give it time."
Judith Collins-Trask: "I will Edward. With the full knowedge that if it fails, it was no more ridiculous
than yours."
Edward Collins: "Touché."
Barnabas: "You're meddling with history & with the lives of those in the future."
Angelique: "And what else have you done since you came here?"
Barnabas: "Oh, if only Eve hadn't gone back into the past to get that book for Vicky. You see, Vicky took that book back into the 18th century when she went there & so Eve brought it back into the present."
Magda: "Eve..Vicky..Who are these people?"
Beth: "Quentin, perhaps when all of this is over, we can take a trip somewhere."
Quentin Collins: "The only trip we're gonna take is to Hell."
Beth: "Stop speaking like that, Quentin."
Quentin Collins: "Know of any other way?"
Beth: "And stop drinking please! It's not good for you."
Quentin Collins: "Oh, we got to keep condemned man healthy for the execution, don't we?"
Quentin Collins: "Charity, don't you know what happens to nice young girls when they're in looked rooms with drunken bachelors?
(looking at a book from 80 years in the future)
Aristede: "Look at the clothes the people are wearing!"
Jamison Collins/Count Petofi: "You WOULD notice that wouldn't you, Aristede?"
Count Petofi: "Quentin! I'm sure YOU'LL have a drink!"
Count Petofi: "Open the coffin."
Aristede: "Open it?"
Count Petofi: "You think I had you dig it up to admire the woodwork?"
Angelique: "Carolyn knew me as Cassandra."
Barnabas: "She won't recognize you, you had dark hair!"
Jeb Hawkes: "I've just stopped by to confirm our date & ask you to meet me at the Old House."
Carolyn: "At the Old House?"
Quentin Collins: "Ooooh, very romantic."
Bruno: "Don't worry, you've got Bruno!"
Barnabas: "Megan & I have had a long talk."
Julia: (raises eyebrows) "What else have you had, Barnabas?"
Barnabas: "What is your question, Julia? Must you read meanings into everything I say?"
Willie: "Barnabas, no wonder you sent for me, no wonder. All of you are in real trouble now."
Willie: "Bet you never thought anyone would love Ol' Willie."
Willie: "Maggie, I just hope that someday you're half as happy as I am."
Willie: "Maggie, you gotta watch out for Barnabas. Now I mean, take care of him, you & Julia.
'Cause I don't wanna feel bad about leaving him, he's all alone now.
I never knew how awful it was to be alone, til I wasn't."
Willie: "Barnabas, you're talking to yourself, that's a bad sign."
Willie: "Me? Why-why do you pick on me, Barnabas?"
Barnabas: "I'm not 'picking on you."
Willie: "Oh, I'm not going up to some old room in the East Wing, open some coffin & put a stake on her heart. Barnabas, I don't even know Megan Todd!"
Barnabas: "Willie, it isn't a pleasant task for anyone. But it must be done."
Willie: "Well..Julia!"
Julia: "I'll go with you Willie."
Barnabas: "Julia hasn't got the strength for it."
Willie: "Well, I'm not so strong either, Barnabas!"
Barnabas: "I do trust you, Willie."
Willie: "Yeah, yeah, you do, I know you do..That's why I'm always gettin' into trouble."
Willie: "Okay I'm do it. But I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight. And tomorrow, Roxanne's gonna wonder why I'm so nervous. I mean, I wish I could tell her these things, I mean she's gonna begin thinkin' I'm weird or somethin."
Willie: "Hey, wait a minute, no one knows my middle name!"
Willie: "Ol' Willie Loomis, he's got a nose for trouble, he smells something around here."
Willie: "I just keep thinking if this were Barnabas's coffin & if we were two other people."
Will Loomis: "This calls for a little drink."
Carolyn Loomis: "Does it, Will?"
Will Loomis: "Ohhh...Oh, the way people treat books, look the pages are torn!
Oh-oh, not long ago, either. Oh, I wish it were my fingers that were chopped off!"
Carolyn Loomis: "If that book were so important to you, you wouldn't have lost your last copy!"
Will Loomis: "Oh honey, I'm a loser. You know, some people- everything sticks to them, like fame & fortune. Me? I'm just the opposite. Yes sir.
Hmm, I can't even keep a bottle full. Huh? Com'n, that's a joke!"
Carolyn Loomis: "Not a very funny one.."
Will Loomis: "Ah, but you see, I must you warn you, we're a family that enjoys privacy. You see I'm writing a new book."
Carolyn Loomis: "Ha-ha-haaa!!!"
Will Loomis: "Well I AM. This week, definately. So you see, I'm gonna be pretty busy." (drinks)
Will Loomis: (offered tea) "No-no-no, you see, that, that's bad for you. Never touch it, it's..it's opianic acid, it's bad for you."
Maggie Collins: "I don't believe in ghosts, Mr Loomis."
Will Loomis: "This is the house for them."
Carolyn Loomis: "I'm alone here. I've been waiting all day for you to rise."
Barnabas: "Carolyn?"
Carolyn Loomis: "You need me now, don't you?"
Barnabas: "No, Carolyn." (turns away)
Carolyn Loomis: "You can't start this & then just stop! I can't let you do that.
Do you understand me, I won't let you! I'll tell Will everything, I swear I will!"
Carolyn Loomis: "Carolyn!"
Barnabas: "You can't forget about me now, I'll tell! I'LL TELL!!"
Carolyn Loomis: "Will, he knows."
Will Loomis: "Knows what? That we have a coffin in the basement?"
Barnabas: "I am safe in my own time. Safe with friends that protect me, now let me go!"
Barnabas: "Fate has always treated me terribly. Fate was against me then as it was the first night in my time band when you found me."
Will Loomis: "Burn my book? Oh no, you don't know what a book means to a writer."
Will Loomis: "Barnabas, there's someone else in this room. I swear it, don't you feel it, Barnabas?"
Alexis/Angelique: "What's a matter, Will? Isn't Barnabas Collins here?"
Will Loomis: "You know, you don't know Barnabas. You know, you never know where he's gonna be. I.. I think he has a girl somewhere."
Alexis/Angelique: "Oh? That's a girl I'd like to meet."
Will Loomis: "You never cared for me, you're evil! YOU'RE EVIL! And I hate..I HATE the sight of you!"
Barnabas: "If I can find Julia alive, then she can clear Quentin by testifying that Angelique used a doll to murder Bruno."
Quentin: "The only sedative I need is to get my hands around Stoke's neck."
Julia: "Quentin, I think I found it: 'Proposed Stairway Into Time'!"
Quentin: "You're telling me someone actually drew up plans under that heading?"
Professor Stokes: "The refrigerator is filled with food & that's an encouraging sign."
